About this guide and how we check hotels
Who runs Kota Kinabalu Hotels, how each listing is researched, and how to report an error.
Who we are
Kota Kinabalu Hotels is written and maintained in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, by people who live here. It is independent: no hotel owns or edits it. Bookings and enquiries are handled by our licensed Sabah tours agency, which earns a standard agent commission from the hotel. That never changes which hotels are listed or what we say about them.
How each hotel is checked
Every page is built from the hotel's own website and stated policies, cross-referenced against third-party listings, and distances measured by road. Each page shows when it was last checked. Where sources disagree, we say so. Where we can't confirm something, the page says "not confirmed" instead of guessing.
What we don't do
- No invented urgency. No "3 rooms left" without real inventory behind it.
- No invented review scores or unverified quotes.
- No rate shown unless we hold it. Otherwise the page says "ask us".
Report an error
If you've stayed somewhere and the page doesn't match, or you work at a hotel and something is out of date, email hello@kotakinabaluhotels.com.my. Accuracy is the whole point.
