TOOJOU is a purpose-built social hostel in downtown Kota Kinabalu, around nine minutes' walk from the Gaya Street Sunday market and about 15 from Jesselton Point. Beds are capsules in six- and eight-bed mixed or female dorms, plus compact private studios with and without windows. There's a rooftop bar, a fusion café, a games area and a tour desk. Reviews are consistently strong for staff and cleanliness.
